Follow Your Dreams
So, I wanna do something. Something which is difficult but not bad, trust me its held highly in regards. People say that "everything under the Sun is asked in that exam", but I still want to do it just because I want to do it. Nobody has imposed that on me. To me it feels like 'me'. You know, I would really do it easily because I like to read about it but people around me are compelling me to doubt myself. "Are you sure ?", "Do you really wanna do this ?", "You won't be able to do this !", "5 years later you will remember me and regret!", these are the remarks that I usually get. But I take them as.....bullshit.
I know! Iknow its THE TOUGHEST exam of our country, its syllabus is the lengthiest but atleast I understand the content. And I would rather go for a lengthy but understndable subject than a comparatively small and complex subject which I am really bad at. I mean, how can I excel in something I don't like!
Its a really sorry and sad state that in our country (or atleast the people around me) appreciate the kids who choose to study the subject of their parents choice and let down the ones who choose to be honest with their choices. See loving and respecting your parents is a must for everyone because your thoughts don't match with each other doesn't mean that there is no love between you guys, but at the cost of your goals! I think, you don't need to show your love in this way. So, now that I have made this thing clear in everybody's head that I'll do what I want to do, people are advicing me to have a backup plan. I know that backup is a smart thing to have. But it also has the potential to keep you away from your goal. Let me give you an example, when you are focusing on only one thing, the probability of you achieving that goal is higher as compared when you focus on two things. And I don't understand that a doctor or engineer aspirant is never asked to have a backup plan. Even, they can fail in their tasks.
The fact remains, when you try to do something different all this will happen.
Its just you who has to fight for your goal until you reach it. But there is one thing that I want to say and that is, that when you are fighting so much for doing something, please take things seriously. You goals has to become as important as your breath. Please don't fight to run away from your circumstance in the name of goals.
